1. After you competed in numerous contests in 2016 what did you think of the experience? Any standout memories from a particular event?
2016 was a great competitive year for me. I competed in 6 shows and was blessed to win a couple overalls and first places. The highlight of the year was bringing my personal best at the NPC Swolefest and even though I took 3rd place, It was a personal best and I was very proud of that body. Highlight of the year was competing in the new Classic Physique I'm a huge fan of the Old school look and poses so this was a awesome addition to the NPC.

2. Did you accomplish the goals you had set out for the various preps and year?
My main goal in 2016 was to improve my symmetry. I have always had descent legs and my upper body always lagged in comparison. I'm happy with the progress in 2016 as this opens the door for 2017 because I know I can keep progressing into my 50s.

3. Please share a little about your competition history in overview and plans for the future?
My first show was in 1990. I'm from the Pittsburgh area home of the NPC and was exposed to many amazing as athletes/coaches/promoters. I've since competed well over 100 shows. I moved to Florida in 2011 and did my first Florida show in 2012 NPC Shannon Dey’s Southern States (I think that's what it was called) and as you know with Florida hosting more shows than any other state in the USA, I've since gone on tour here in Fla. Lol. My future bodybuilding plans are to go to Masters Nationals and go for my IFBB pro card in Classic physique. My thought process is I'll just outlast everybody and get one by default at the very least by 90 years of age haahah. I feel very confident in my ability and my body. Even though I have competed so much over the years I have never abused my body and trained smart and done it the healthy way. I FEEL FRESH going into 2017.

4. What would you say is your biggest source of inspiration and motivation?
Biggest source of inspiration? My life lived and my Children. I've always have taken care of my body and in my mind our bodies are supposed to look and function much longer than they currently do for the average person. People comment on how I LOOK, but I always reply " but I FEEL even better than I look!" Another thing. I don't do this for the stage. I LOVE being passionate and motivated year round. I don't bulk up. Get fat. Drink alcohol or look unrecognizable like some. I don't judge as we all get to choose how we life our lives but if somebody told me I had to put on 30-40lbs plus in offseason to excel in bodybuilding, I would've quit along time ago. My children inspire and motivate me. When I'm long gone and no one remembers who I.am, only my children will think of me and speak my name. I treat that knowledge with all the respect it deserves TODAY.
